I continue a painting tradition referred to as “New Chełmoński,” origiting from my grandfather’s work. I treat it as a living heritage that I develop in my own visual language, maintaining continuity while giving it a contemporary expression.

My painting practice grows out of a family tradition in which painting has been present across generations. I refer to the body of work of my grandfather, whose practice is described as “New Chełmoński,” treating it as a point of departure rather than a closed canon.
I develop my work as a continuation of this lineage, while building my own visual language. I am interested in the tension between inheritance and individual experience — between what is embedded in tradition and what is added in the present.
Painting here becomes a way of maintaining continuity while simultaneously reinterpreting it, without breaking away from the source from which it origites.
