About: Spinning clay is an act of defiance. It challenges the laws of physics, capturing a fleeting moment in time with every mark, each one a testament to that instant. Art mirrors life, revealing beauty in the seemingly impossible.
When crafting a vessel, my focus is entirely on the present moment. The magic that unfolds as glaze meets the surface belongs to the future—unpredictable yet intentional. The myriad crevices and swirls corral the melting liquid into an inconceivable stasis, the interaction of one glaze over another creating movement and charting direction.
My practice is a study of impossibility, defiance, and magic. Weaving these elements into beautiful, functional forms is both art and alchemy.
