About the Artist
My work seeks to bring my own curiosity and wonder of the tural world into the medium of ceramics. Material is very important to me and working with clay is a tactile way I connect with the earth around me. My process openly involves bits of ture that I collect while outside. I bring these things with me throughout my day, pressing them in my jourl or delicately tucking them away in a pocket or bag until they make their way into my studio. I am particularly fascited with the forms that living things take on once they have died, and these small odes to death and decomposition can be seen throughout each piece.
