About: My connection to clay is both a desire to make practical items and to enjoy the peaceful feel of centered clay. I first met this medium in high school and have pursued constant improvement for more than 50 years. My passion is introducing people to the pleasure of using handmade items such as mugs and bowl everyday. Can the feel of your mug make your morning coffee taste better? It can’t hurt. Choose your mug by testing the handle feel and and how it fits your grip. Years ago, when experimenting with rims, I learned that a slight flare makes the coffee just flow into your mouth. Like most potters, I also love fire and make decorative raku and horsehair fired pieces.
